The global financial crisis resulted in growing unemployment in many regions. It is important for the municipalities to take a more active part in fighting unemployment.

Objectives to be achieved: This project would involve sharing of experience of municipalities from different countries about innovative or unorthodox ways for the municipality to more actively participate in fighting unemployment. The end result of the project would be a strategy for fighting unemployment devised by Vilnius City Municipality.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): Visits to and from partner municipalities to share experience on taking a more active role in fighting unemployment.
Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC: The end result of the project would be a strategy for fighting unemployment devised by Vilnius City Municipality and similar strategies in the partner municipalities. They would be approved by the City Council.
