Improving the quality of social services in a rural area municipality, using the newest methods of social assistance for elderly and disabled persons

Objectives to be achieved: To start using new methods in social assistance for elderly and disabled persons. To share experience by using animal assisted therapy in social assistance for elderly and disabled persons. To share experience by using theatre group method in social assistance for elderly and disabled persons. To improve the skills and qualification of social workers by learning new methods in social assistance for elderly and disabled persons. To share experience in social services quality rating system by project partners

Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): 4 Workshops for social workers to improve their skills in helping elderly and disabled persons to avoid social isolation (in different partner’s countries). 4 Workshops for elderly and disabled persons: how to use theatre techniques and animal assisted therapy (in different partner’s countries). To release the publication of good practice for social workers and social assistants about using new methods to help elderly and disabled persons to cope with their problems (in all partner’s languages).

Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC: Improved integration of elderly and disabled people. Improved knowledge of social workers in helping elderly and disabled people. Usage new social work methods in cooperating countries (Lithuania, Sweden, Poland and Check Republic). Improved quality of social services for elderly and disabled people. Adapted and developed infrastructure for elderly and disabled people needs. Released publication of good practice for social workers and social assistants.
