Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation):
Participants often have limited or no knowledge about other countries and how life is lived there. Participants often have limited or no experience of travel outside their home region and for reason may be narrow minded in the view of life. Many participants lack in self esteem, motivation, social skills etc. and also the ability or knowledge to see that an alternative to find a job may be to look outside the borders of Sweden.
Objectives to be achieved: By widening the perspective of life outside the comfort zone the project with transnational cooperation serves to stimulate and to empower participants own abilities in order to be more attractive in the workplace. From the project leadership perspective the objective is to find new ways and gain experiences which will enrich project Equip.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): The project plan is to provide participants an opportunity to have about one week of practice in Latvia at one of the Salvation Army institutions. During the project a minimum of 4 practice sessions are planned for 6 – 8 participants at a time. For the project leadership team visits are planned to Latvia but also to other countries were other organisations with similar objectives are at work.
Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC: Each participant should grow and develop as a person in terms of self esteem, motivation to work, social skills and knowledge about life outside Sweden and their own comfort zone. Each participant will be closer to the work place and having the motivation to change their life situation.
