Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation): Consensio is a unique project aiming to amend the flawed cooperation of Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan), Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen) and municipalities in meeting, providing good service to and supporting individuals with functional disabilities. The project application outlines competence development within and between Försäkringskassan, Arbetsförmedlingen, care representatives, schools, user organizations and the employees of social companies.
To achieve this mutual competence development, that is not possible today within the framework of the ordinary activities, the project will bring together authorities, municipalities and organizations through exchanges in competence and experience by courses, lectures, study visits and coaching efforts.
Previous surveys and analysis show a substantial need of competence development, starting with areas such as joint values and shared attitudes regarding service as well as increased knowledge and awareness concerning functional disabilities.
The project will, should the requested funding be approved, run within the county of Stockholm during the period of January 2012 to June 2014.
Objectives to be achieved: Barriers is today stopping people with disabilities from participating fully in society. One important barrier is how to enter the labor market. We would like to learn and share good experiences from other counties how to involve employers and business and how to extend the social economy. What good practice can we share of complex learning processes together with other countries? In order for all people with disabilities to be able to shape their own life’s, general support needs to be complemented with customized support and service. We need to see the individual! What experiences of good practice exist in other European countries regarding development of competence and learning about motivation and empowerment?
