Thematic scope of the project:

Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation):

The project is focused on transnational transfer of innovations in the area of support and practical implementation of flexible forms of employment.
Several researches proved that Czech employers are still reluctant to offer flexible forms of employment although women caring for small children are increasingly interested in such forms of employment. The Czech Republic lags behind other countries of the European Union in labour market flexibility. The proportion of part-time employees reached only 5,5% in comparison with other EU countries (In EU-27, there is the average 18,7%. The Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bolgaria are at the lowest level.)

At present we are facing relatively high unemployment rate (6,8% in the 2Q 2011). This rate is exceeded by women at the age of 34 and less. The reason is, according to the Czech Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, that women at this age often cannot find suitable job as a consequence of childcare. Women are also more affected by long-term unemployment. This situation could be solved by increase in use of flexible forms of employment. Therefore our project aims at promotion and dissemination of flexible forms of employment among Czech employers and training of our target group in skills which are necessary in the system of flexible employment.

Our aims can be achieved by transfer of innovative methods and approaches from other EU countries that successfully deal with these problems. We intend to transfer transnational know-how and adapt it to the Czech conditions. We would like to interconnent our own experience (as an education organisation as well as an employer offering flexible forms of employment) with experience and expertise of our partners. Based on mutual cooperation we would like to develop a new concept of support of flexible forms of employment in the Czech Republic.

Objectives to be achieved: a) The main objective of the project is to develop transnational cooperation and contribute to problem solving liyng in unsufficient promotion and implementation of flexible forms of employment in the Czech Republic. b) Based on transnational cooperation we intend to prepare innovative training modules for our target group (disadvantaged persons caring for dependent members of family – either on parental leave or unemployed). The participants of these modules will be equipped with skills and competences which are necessary to work effectively in a flexible form of employment (homeworking, teleworking, part-time jobs etc.). c) An equally important objective of our project is to support dissemination and implementation of flexible forms of employment among employers and wider public.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): a) Study visits in the partner´s organisation and in the Czech republic (meetings, workshops and virtual conferences)b) Preparation of training modules and new learning tools for the target group in cooperation with our partner(s)c) Development of educational and information web portald) Implementation of pilot modules and evaluation of their effectiveness in cooperation with our partner(s)e) Development of methodology focused on implementation of flexible forms of employment into practicef) Evaluation, dissemination of outputs and their use for support of equal opportunities
Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC: Based on transnational cooperation this project intends to support promotion and implementation of flexible forms of employment. We would like to contribute to solution of insufficient use of these forms by development of following outputs:a) 4 training modules and new learning tools developed in cooperation with our partner(s). These modules focus on disadvantaged persons caring for dependent members of family and equip them with skills which are necessary to work effectively in a flexible form of employment. Based on our own experience we suggest following contents of the training modules: training in efficient use of modern technologies for distance working, development of communicative competences, time management and work-family life balance, business English etc.b) 4 methodological handbooks for employers and HR specialists that will help them to implement the training modules and flexible forms of employment into practicec) 1 educational and informational web portal for representatives of employers, public bodies, HR specialists, NGOs and other interested personsd) 1 final training programme designed as a retraining course based on the 4 training modulese) We intend to offer to at least 120 persons from the target group to participate in the pilot training modules. The transnational cooperation should be mutually beneficial. We would like to share experience with our partner(s) and to enrich our methods, tools and approaches related to our thematic scope.
