Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation):

Polish population, as elsewhere in the world, is ageing causing strains on pensions systems and reshaping labour markets. Poland, compared to other European countries, scores very low when it comes to labour market participation of older people. After the age of 50 most Polish workers drop out of the labour market. We are seeking to develop/adapt innovative ways to maintain labour market participation of people aged 50 and above, which proved to be effective in other European countries. We turn our attention especially to women whose participation in the labour market drops fourfold after reaching the age of 55+.

Objectives to be achieved: Project objectives are threefold: 1) to develop/adapt new tools for 50+ group that would aid their activity on the labour market, 2) to motivate 50+ group to stay in employment, 3) to change employers’ attitudes towards hiring workers aged 50+.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): knowledge and good practice exchange through: a number of study visits by the Polish partner to the transnational partner’s programme; a number of working and evaluation visits by the transnational partner to Poland (mazowieckie voivodship).
Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC: development/adaptation of an innovative and effective model of maintaining work activity of 50+ workers strengthening transnational co-operation starting new transnational partnerships.
