Interdisciplinary doctoral studies in biotechnology

Objectives to be achieved: PhD studies based on interdisciplinary and intersectional mobility of students creating innovative style of work. To prepare mobile perfectly educated innovative researchers who will be ready to continue state of art academic research or work in R&D of companies of demanding area of the life sciences in ERA prepared for new challenges connected with the Horizon 2020 programme.

Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): Day-to-day contacts, exchange of researchers and staff, broadening of an education offer by supported e-learning and internet based media contacts (webinar conferences, share of data and joint case studies with the use of dedicated internet platform).

Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC: Working as a part of research projects, the Fellows learn not only techniques but also rules of collaboration with a variety of research teams working in different environments– they  exposed to a diversity of working styles, problems tackling, responsiveness, work ethics.International, inter-disciplinary and inter-sectoral environment provides a valuable backdrop against which the young researchers may build their future careers – we provide them with the tools we believe are of utmost importance in the changed circumstances where academic work becomes inextricably linked to applications in industry, where funds for research are increasingly dependent  on cooperation with business, and various opportunities lie in the inter- or supra- disciplinary collaboration with an international component, the tendency emphasized in the Horizon 2020 communications and ancillary documents.
