Name of institution: Foundation of Academic Enterprise
Type of the organization:
  • NGO
Country:
  • Poland
Thematic scope of the project:
  • Access to employment and social inclusion
Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation):

In many Eastern European countries, also in Poland, exists a group of young, unemployed people, who are unable to become active on the labour market. They lack specific skills and knowledge about employment law, modern information technology or work ethnic, which are particularly required by employers.
Amount of unemployed youngsters in Poland rises constantly, from 2008 their number increased by 166 thousand people. At this moment, every fourth unemployed person is a person under the age of 24. According to research conducted by Polish Central Statistic Office in July 2010, over one third of new unemployed people are the ones under 24 years old.

Objectives to be achieved: Main goal is to help low educated youngsters to find their position in the labour market, by following specific trainings and courses organized by experienced and well- read people. Specific learning systems (organized usually for few weeks) will improve practical and soft skills to make the participants feel more self- confident and comfortable at the labour market and during the job seeking. Trainings will be designed mostly for Information Technology which is the most determined, growing and reliable sector. We are able to focus individually on each participant, as well as pay attention to groups and improve their ability to cooperate with others (who may become their collaborators in the future). We apply many effective ways of encouraging young people to participate in the trainings such as providing refreshments or learning through play. At this moment we are realizing several projects financed by the European Social Fund. Most of them are designed for people who have limited access to employment, caused by the lack of knowledge and abilities required by employers  or for those who suffers from other life difficulties.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): The main goal is to cooperate with Multimedi, during the organization process of internships and trainings for unemployed youngsters. Selection of low educated candidates will be conducted in the specialized way. Considering the market demand and technological development, trainings will be related to IT sector, but also the improvement of soft skills (like self-presentation, job seeking techniques etc.) of participants.
Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC: Expected deliverables for our foundation are associated with exploring foreign methods of trainings by sharing experiences between two countries. We wish to supplement the knowledge about eligibility and specific ways helping unemployed, young people and share our own wealth of experience.
