Type of the organization:
  • Administration
Country:
  • Sweden
Thematic scope of the project:
  • Access to employment and social inclusion
Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation):

In our community we have individuals who are long-termed unemployed and are far away from the labour market. There can be various reasons that stop these individuals from participating in the labour market and in society in general. It can depend on physical illness, neuropsychiatric disabilities or addictions. It is demanding and difficult for these people to find activities where their individual possibilities or resources can be used in the labour market.

This group often has combined difficulties like physical illness, addiction and experience of previous failure in labour market witch can make them insecure. The chances for this group to take part in the labour market have declined in the past few years.

We need to find alternative ways for the target group and integrate them into the labour market. The solution must be sustainable to minimise the risk of more failure for these individuals.

Objectives to be achieved: 30 % of the participants will go on to find employment or start to study90% of participants will experience an improved quality of life70% of participants will feel that they have gained more social contacts and expanded their network The goal for the participants is to break their isolation and take part of work-oriented activities, which can increase their work capacity and their future employability.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): Kungsbacka municipality wishes to meet other European partners who have similar target groups or problems facing them. It is Kungsbacka municipality’s hope to start collaborations with partner countries and exchange thoughts, ideas and experiences between them. This may for example involve visiting each other or job shadowing etc. The municipality is also interested in the possibility of future joint EU project with other European countries regarding the target group.
