Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation): Development and implementation of solutions to improve effectiveness of social inclusion and professional activization of disabled people.
In the project we put the pressure on better coordination of public services involved in social and professional inclusion of disabled people.
Main problems in the field:
1. There are many governmental and non-governmental welfare institutions that help disabled people but they concentrate more on protective actions than on the real empowerment of the disabled and helping them to become independent
2. Lack of communication between the welfare institutions
3. Low level of cooperation between main institutions working in the field and lack of coordination their actions
4. Lack of innovative solutions in the social field that are possible to implement in the field.
5. Lack of cooperation between welfare institutions and employers
Objectives to be achieved:
good communication and cooperation between local institutions;
good coordination of welfare actions;
better accessibility of welfare and public services for disabled people on the local level;
activation of 50 disabled in the age of 18 – 64 including the methods developed during the international cooperation;
improving vocational qualifications of people working with disabled and of employers;
preparing mentally disabled to employment and gaining professional experience;
supporting society of mentally disabled (e.g. parents);
more employers eager to employ disabled people due to professional help of activation centres.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): Exchange of information and experiences, becoming acquainted with methods of cooperation district’s institutions, adaptation international methods to Polish conditions, implementation new methods in Poland, evaluation new methods by experts. We reach these by: study tours, meetings, expert exchange, observation of the actions in the district by foreign experts and other (decided together with a partner).
Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC:
New methods of social and professional activation of disabled in Poland;
Good coordination and cooperation of welfare institutions;
Growth of qualifications of 50 disabled;
Growth of qualifications of people working with disabled and of employers;
Supporting community in the field of activation of disabled.
