Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation):

The project Networking Europe aims to increase the transnational cooperation in the Stockholm Region Area. Our goal is to prepare the region and provide our regional partners with knowledge, tools and connections for creating transnational projects within the new coming social structure funds and the Europe 2020 strategy. We’re always looking for new transnational partners and would love to help bridging the gap between our regional partners in Stockholm and European partners abroad.

Objectives to be achieved: Networking Europe is now in the process of building four different networks in the Stockholm region. The networks are formed in some of the areas in which the EU Commission gives priorities during the next Structural Fund period; Fight against poverty and exclusion, Employment and labor mobility, Entrepreneurship and social innovation, Roma situation. The networks aim at identifying and linking organizations and existing networks in the Baltic region working within the four different areas.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): Transnational study visits to EU countries, particularly in the Baltic Sea area, will be arranged. We will also invite to Sweden key actors from other countries that are active and have special knowledge in our focus areas to share their experience with our regional partners. In this way we hope to get a better exchange between the Stockholm region and the Baltic Sea countries. Exchanges that will make it easier to develop ideas set up future projects and disseminate project results.
