Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation):

In the century of globalization, international contacts play an important role for entrepreneurial success. A lot of companies are expanding internationally and enlarge their sphere via mergers and acquisitions, Joint-Ventures and other forms of cooperation. But what do such international activities mean for involved and acting stakeholders? What kind of competences and know-how have to be present and what are the requirements, above all for SMEs? SMEs, especially co-operatives, find it difficult to compete in the domestic and international markets because of their limited resources and traditional business methods. Moreover, it seems that one of the most important barriers to international entrepreneurship is the cultural diversity within Europe, even when language barriers are overcome. Besides there are educational and statutory differences between European countries and a lack of transparency between countries with regard to the required competences for international trade.
These are the problems that the project wish to address and a transnational partnership is essential to achieve this objective.

Objectives to be achieved: The main objective of the project is to strengthen the competitiveness especially of small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of foreign trade and at the same time to facilitate the access to the European labour market for the employees. This can be achieved through the application and implementation of a transparent, unified training approach at European standard. In particular the project aims at: Developing vocational training materials which provide SMEs the opportunity to learn about international trade rules and procedures; Presenting methods of international trade to SMEs; Enhancing e-capabilities of SME employees; Contributing to SME’s taking part in the international trade market; Increasing competitiveness of SMEs; Contributing to improvement of quality of the vocational education and training system and practices in partner countries; Contributing to the development of international trade between partner countries The main target groups of the project are the staff in the co-operative trade association dedicated to SMEs support, SMEs who require learning on international trade and SMEs which are involved in international trade but not realizing the full potential, plus those companies/individuals, students want to involve in international trade.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): The most relevant dimensions in terms of intercultural and entrepreneurial competence will be identified by every partner country separately. On the base of the research results appropriate training modules will be developed and tested in certain partner institutions. Afterwards the trainings tools will be evaluated, optimized and certified. These modules will be integrated into the program of study in these partner institutions.
Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC: The main products of the project will be the requirement profiles for every partner country as well as the training modules which will be developed according to the identified needs. All the documents and curricula flow into the guideline “ways to international acting entrepreneur” and will contain additional information like check lists, recommendations for professional vocational education and training possibilities. Steps: 1_Identification of the requirements on international acting entrepreneurs (professional competences and soft skills). 2_ Demands on soft skills 3_Demands on professional competences (interviews with international acting entrepreneurs in every country to find out the relevant professional competences). 4_Development of Training tools (entrepreneurial and intercultural competences) 5_Test of the trainings modules. OUTCOMES It will be assumed that through this project the entrepreneurial as well as the intercultural competence will be strengthened in a long term period and an appropriate sensitization for these competences will be achieved. Another positive impact of the project is in the field of start-ups, where the amount of company and trade associations training has to be grown.
