Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation):

The problem of unemployment in Poland predominantly affects young people. Data from the Polish Statistical Office for Q1 2015 shows that the largest group among the total population of the unemployed (11.7%) are people aged 25-34 (28.3%).
The difficulties young people face stem not only from the education system inadequately meeting the needs of the labour market, but they are also the result of the lack of support for young people that would prepare them to make decisions about their education and career path that are in line with their own predispositions and the current demands of the labour market. These actions fall within the responsibilities of schools and their career counsellors, specialised institutions, i.e. career offices, as well as institutions of the labour market.
The project aims at transferring experience from partner countries in terms of cooperation of institutions involved in facilitating young people’s initiation into the labour market and, consequently, helping them to find work which is adequate to their predispositions and the needs of the economy, and therefore decreasing the unemployment rate among young people who already left school.
Conducted in partnership with a university, non-government organisations, and a labour market institution, the project is aimed at activating the institutions involved in the process and help graduates and students of part time university courses in the difficult pursuit of first employment, with a particular focus on the demand for green jobs.

Objectives to be achieved: The main objective of the project is the identification, testing, and implementation of instruments and solutions used in partner countries to facilitate young people’s entry to the labour market, focusing particularly on green jobs. The final objectives of the project will developed together with the partner based on their know-how and the possibility of adapting these solutions to Polish conditions.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): - description of instruments and solutions used in the partner’s country needed for the application form, with cost estimates,- preparation and organisation of a study visit in the partner’s country, - participation in a study visit in Poland,- participation of experts in the workgroup that will prepare the transfer of instruments and solutions from the partner country in Poland at the concept, testing, and implementation stage, and preparation of recommendations to be implemented throughout Poland.
