Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation):

Two-fold:
a)  Moving individuals towards employment

  • Inclusion and empowerment approaches to redress long term unemployment
  • Skills development strategies and delivery methods
  • Employability skills approaches and how best to integrate Coaching, Mentoring and Job Search activities

b) Engaging with employers i.e.
Overcoming difficulty with encouraging employers to engage with programmes for long term unemployed

  • Defining Partnership Working with Employers
  • Working with Social enterprises
  • Working with small enterprises with less than 10 employees.
Objectives to be achieved: Transfer and exchange of experience and good practice in relation to:a)  Development of whole person approach (holistic, integrated solutions for target group with multiple and  complex needs)Bringing job opportunities together at a single point and engaging employers in actively recruiting from long term unemployed cohortb) Identify best practice in employer engagement, and how to encourage employers to play a more active role in design and implementation of employability programmes
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): Sharing learning, knowledge and best practice around moving the individual into suitable sustained wor,  at their pace and  to suit their individual needs Employer engagement strategies Potential study visit for staff Potential work based learning exchange visit to include beneficiaries
Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC: Shared learning and identification of new approaches and solutions to ongoing existing problems Inform skills development strategies Promoting active inclusion to embrace those that are closest to the labour market whilst also embracing and engaging with hardest to reach and those with multiple barriers Transfer and exchange of knowledge, experience and good practice Increased individuals moving into paid employment Increased Employer Engagement Increased knowledge around Social Economies that can provide employment experience for those furthest from the work place.
