Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation):
  • A one-sided support for low-skilled jobseekers, without taking into account the full personal and social context of the jobseeker.
  • Specific target groups such as low-skilled young people and low-skilled older jobseekers find too difficult their way in the job market.
  • The theme of social economy is too little integrated in the training set of the university colleges.
  • High concentration of jobseekers in deprived neighborhoods, with a result of a negative spiral in different life domains.
Objectives to be achieved:   Better guidance on counselling and training that is adapted to the specific needs of disadvantaged and disabled people. Reduce youth unemployment. The course 'social economy' integrating in the training programs of the socio-pedagogical and economic bachelor and master educations. Startup social economy projects in disadvantaged neighborhoods to improve the social cohesion.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners):   Exchange of staff of centers for training, counseling, guidance and advice for jobseekers and employees (Belgium: Mentor vzw: www.vzwmentor.be ). Exchange of professors of university colleges who teaching the subjects 'social economy' and ‘community work’. Assistance with the creation of new social economy projects. Exchange of different methodologies on social economy.
Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC:   Knowledge of the consultants on labor supervision is increased. The course social economy becomes an integral part of the programs within the social-economic and pedagogical educations. Better guidance on youth unemployment.
