Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation):

The project aims to integrate young adults with no or poor qualification, many of them long-term unemployed, often with several social and personal problems hindering their participation in work life. An important part of the project is a three month stay abroad – to date in Spain, Greece and Turkey. Abroad they are separated from their usual environment, which often is a hindrance itself. They develop their personal, social and professional skills while managing everyday life in a foreign country for the very first time in their lives and doing internships there. Furthermore in some groups a theatre pedagogic approach is used to strengthen the participants’ skills. In these project groups a play is developed and staged abroad, too.

Objectives to be achieved: Preparation phase: Participants learn the respective language on a low level so that they can manage everyday life and work life abroad; they have intercultural training, have lessons about work life and how to write a job application etc. Furthermore they get basic theatre training.Transnational phase: Participants get to know the environment, do internships suitable to their skills and interests, continue learning the language, have exchange with locals, stage their play, continue preparing for job applicationsBack home phase: Participants reflect on the stay abroad, rewrite their CVs, apply for jobs, start a job or a vocational training.Preparation phase: Participants learn the respective language on a low level so that they can manage everyday life and work life abroad; they have intercultural training, have lessons about work life and how to write a job application etc. Furthermore they get basic theatre training.Transnational phase: Participants get to know the environment, do internships suitable to their skills and interests, continue learning the language, have exchange with locals, stage their play, continue preparing for job applicationsBack home phase: Participants reflect on the stay abroad, rewrite their CVs, apply for jobs, start a job or a vocational training.
