IdA – integration by exchange is one of the federal programs set up and funded by the FMLSA and the ESF in Germany.
Both IdA Göttingen projects are organized and managed by the City of Göttingen cooperating with the public law institution “Beschäftigungsförderung Göttingen kAöR” and the BUPNET GmbH. The project “The challenge abroad” focuses particularly on young persons in the age of 18 to 30 years; “Experience counts” concentrates on promoting physically handicapped unemployed in the age of 50 years and older.

Objectives to be achieved: Core of the IdA projects in Göttingen are six week stays abroad with practical internships. Our transnational partners are responsible for the search of individual and appropriate internships for the participants and a general support of our pedagogical employees during the stay abroad.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): Objective of IdA Göttingen is to increase the employability of unemployed by upgrading their individual capacities and professional skills on a transnational level. Therefore our participants take part in theoretical and practical trainings in Germany and abroad which are especially conceived to improve not only language skills but also professionalqualifications and social capacities.
Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC: The six week stays abroad of our participants in groups of 10-15 twice a year in each of our partner countries are the main transnational activities. During the project duration additional study visits and expert meetings with all transnational partners ensure the exchange on an institutional level.4.
