Problems to be solved (justification of the need of the transnational cooperation):
We are seeking transnational cooperation for exchange of ideas and methods on how we can increase economic growth in micro enterprises.
Objectives to be achieved: To increase economic growth in our entire region by competence developing 1000 employees at regional micro enterprises in subjects that promote businessmanship.
Main transnational activities (as provisionally planned, to be confirmed with partners): We offer micro enterprises competence development courses to micro enterprises. Our curriculum includes ten different courses within six subjects relevant to businessmanship. Courses span from 2-4 days and are performed in groups of up to 12 students. We started this project march 1 2010. Since then 600 individuals have signed up for participation. 300 individuals have choosen the competence development course they want to attend and 180 individuals have started their competence development or graduated. Since we evaluate every step of the project we have gathered extensive intelligence regarding which subjects are of high and low interest, which subjects that are perceived as promoting businessmanship in micro enterprises, and which subjects are sought after in the future. During the first year we have developed a method of marketing and administering the project, as well as signing up, educating and administering participants, and disseminating information. We would like to share this experience and learn from similar projects in other countries.
Planned deliverables & outcomes of TNC: - We expect this project to increase the level of businessmanship in micro enterprises, thus increasing economic growth in our entire region.
